"Canadian New"

This particular painting was one that I completed for my course "Illustrative Watercolours" at the Art School of Peterborough as a special request. In the course, I confer with the students to decide what we should paint. I was showing them some possibilities when they saw my painting of "Canadian Dew" and liked the leaf and wanted to paint it. So we put the same leaf against a different background and painted it again (for me, it's the third time I've painted the same leaf).
