"Golden Tears."

This painting is a bit of a departure for me, as it is purely a study in texture, as well as an experiment with a pencil border.
It's based on a photograph that I took on the Dumoine River a few years back. I can recall being fascinated by the rust-like stains that were running down the rock face, and so taking plenty of pictures.
One thing I really like about images like this is looking for faces and shapes in the crevices, nooks, and crannies of the cliff face. Everybody sees something different, and it has been a pleasure showing this painting, and listening to the many comments.
